By some accounts, I got a little carried away taking photos today in Kamakura. I am tired as a result and I will post more photos tomorrow morning. For the time being, here is a brief outline of where I went.
Engaku-ji.
Tokei-ji. (interesting story behind this place)
Kencho-ji.
Tsuru-go-aka Hachiman-gu.
The beach.
Daibutsu.

Another entrance.
I have been stalking this particular photo for some time now. It's unfortunately just not the same during the daytime when there is light and I don't have a tripod, so this is as good as it's going to get. I believe this is a Buddhist shrine wedged in there and hanging in the middle is an immense number of paper cranes. A daylight photo will be coming.

I wandered into this park today.
There are many old houses (or at least old entrances) tucked away in Tokyo.

More taiyaki - probably one of the best desserts that I've eaten here. This is how they are cooked. Kind of like a waffle, but then they put red bean paste inside, which is sweet.
Here is a better photo of the guy who sells what I think are roasted peanuts out of his truck.
This was my lunch the other day. Soba noodles with fried tofu, mushrooms, fish, green onions, and I can't remember the name of the green that's in there. That's a dried persimmon next to it.
This place looked like it was out of business and it might have been because of the translation error.

I haven't seen too much unused ground here, but for some reason they cover over the vacant lots. That would make North Philly a lot nicer.
